Kathmandu Airport Tax advisory

The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) is not integrated with worldwide reservation systems, and, as a result, passengers are required to clear all TIA taxes before departure.  We are posting this advisory based on the feedback of our passengers who were unaware of these rules and did not have sufficient cash at the airport.

 

These rates are valid on 4 August, 2008, and advise you to also consult the TIA website (www.tiairport.com) for the most recent rates. Because of a special agreement between the governments of India and Nepal, nationals of these countries pay lower taxes than citizens of other nationalities.
